Introductions and Small Talk
In this volume students learn how to:

- relate a S.T.A.R. story that illustrates a personal achievement: ideal in an

Volume 2:
Powerful Presentations
In this volume students learn how to: -
captivate an audience by choosing one of five memorable ways to start a presentation -
signpost talks effectively and clearly so the audience don't get lost -
introduce photographs and information graphics (graphs, charts, tables, etc) to
illustrate a talk - avoid worrying when asked to "say a few words".
Students learn techniques to give a T.O.P. spontaneous talk -
learn how to use pauses to great effect in presentations. In addition to
these key strategies students can practise functional language and collocational
phrases AND test their knowledge of common colloquial expressions with 'Splendid

to institutions with larger numbers of students who will wish to access the materials
on a (guided or free) self-study basis. Type 2: Benefits

Less management involved than in setting up individual accounts for particular
